Season 1 of Melodia Song Contest Reimagined was hosted in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The winning country was File:Flag of Switzerland.svg Switzerland, represented by DANA with their song "Speak Up". They scored 102 points in the Grand Final. The runner-up was File:Flag of Argentina.svg Argentina with 93 points.
Information
MSC Reimagined is the rebranding of Melodia Song Contest (now referred to as Legacy Melodia). This is the first ever edition under the rebranding.
Season 1 of Melodia Song Contest Reimagined officially began on December 3, 2023 with the announcement of claiming for the first edition. On December 4, 2023, it was revealed that unlike previous editions where the winning song's country would become the next host city, there would be a poll to determine which city would get the opportunity to host the first season of MSC Reimagined. Five cities sent in their lots: File:Flag of Argentina.svg Buenos Aires, Error creating thumbnail: Beijing, File:Flag of Germany.svg Hamburg, File:Flag of South Africa.svg Pretoria, and Error creating thumbnail: Los Angeles. Ultimately, it was File:Flag of Argentina.svg Buenos Aires who received the honor to host, getting 80% of the votes in the poll. This was revealed to the public a day later on December 5, 2023, in an announcement video posted on the official YouTube channel.
Claiming closed on December 9, 2023 and saw 19 users wishing to participate (details regarding this can be found below). One by one songs were sent in by participants, some selected internally, others chosen through national finals. The deadline for submission was December 15, 2023. On the same day, the voting period started and lasted until December 29, 2023. After the votes were collected, they were tallied and prepared for the live show on December 31, 2023. On New Year's Eve 2023, the results were revealed.
