Season 6 of MNEXT, also known as MNEXT: Summer Special, aired between July 20th to July 30th, 2025. It was hosted at the Sajik Arena in Busan. The head MCs were IVE member, Jang Wonyoung, and soloist and EXO member, Kai. The season was won by CHUNG HA with her song "Sparkling", going on to represent South Korea in Season 18 of Melodia:ReImagined in Coimbra.
Concept
The 12 songs were split into two groups, the First Stage songs and the Automatic Qualifiers.
The First Stage saw 6 songs be put through a fan vote to decide which one should advance to the final. The top 2 songs with the most votes would qualify, and the other 4 would be eliminated.
The Second Stage was the regular MNEXT format, with the National, International, and Online votes all contributing to leave a final score on the 8 participants. The song with the highest number of points would be the winner of the season.
Voting
There were 3 categories of voters, the National Jury, the International Jury, and the online televote, they all had different systems of voting for each stage of the competition.
National Jury
The National Jury consisted of all provinces of South Korea. They were not permitted to vote in the First Stage of the competition. In the Second Stage, they would divide 15,000 points across all 8 songs, with a cap at 4,000 for any one song, with no minimum. This had been changed from previous seasons where the national jury could only distribute 10,000 points. Not all their points had to be used. The National Jury consisted of:

International Jury
The International Jury consisted of any countries that wished to vote in this Season. In the First Stage, they could vote on which song would be eliminated from the competition and not move on to the Second Stage. In the Second Stage, they would rank the songs from 1st to 8th. The average place, times by 3,500, would be added on to the scores given by the National Jury. The International Jury consisted of:
Online Televote
The online televote was open from the beginning of the Second Stage, the songs with the top 5 highest votes would receive a bonus based on their ranking.
