After Switzerland won the first season of Melodia Song Contest: Reimagined, it was announced that Lugano, Switzerland would host the second season of the contest. Cornaredo Stadium was chosen as the venue for the contest. The first winning song's name, Speak Up, would become the slogan for the edition. Claiming opened on the December 31st, 2023, the last day of the year. Six days of claiming later, 19 hopefuls decided to compete for the title.

There were 5 national selections this edition. Schweiz Selects was used once again to decide the Swiss entrant that would follow DANA's successful run.
